They’re rare in New York City, but it looks like the creepy, prehistoric fish that washed up on the Red Hook shore this evening in Brooklyn might be a sturgeon.
The fish attracted a crowd after it washed up in the inlet next to the Waterfront Museum and Fairway’s overflow parking lot near the end of Conover Street.
It appears at least five feet long. And it stinks.
